White WillowWhite Willow Bark has been used by Chinese physicians since 500BC to ease the severity of pain associated with inflammation and to help reduce menstrual cramps. More recently, the salicylic acid contained in White Willow Bark has been used in the manufacture of aspirin. Salicylates can reduce pain by acting on tissues and associated sensory nerves, inhibiting the synthesis of chemicals called prostaglandins, which are involved in such conditions as menstrual cramps and inflammatory responses.
Today, White Willow provides a safe and natural alternative to its synthetic counterpart, that will not cause stomach upset or bleeding and that is free from any adverse side effects. Active Botanicals White Willow provides 300 mg of extract per capsule, standardised to 14% salicin and equivalent to a powerful 3000mg of White Willow Bark per capsule. Formulation Directions for Use
