CranberryCranberries have been used as a flavoursome food and as a folk medicine for centuries. Cranberries contain a variety of constituents, including organic acids, such as benzoic acid, and it is believed by some to be the presence of such organic acids that confer cranberrys with its unique urinary antiseptic properties. Cranberry is beneficial to the health of the entire urinary system, including the kidney and the bladder. Cranberry helps to strengthen against bacterial invasion and eliminate any bacteria present in the urinary tract, as the bacteria are less able to adhere to urinary tract surfaces, thus protecting the entire urinary system.
Cranberry has been found to acidify urine and it may be this property that makes it particularly useful in the reduction in symptoms of infections, such as Cystitis. Cranberry also has an anti-odour effect on urine that makes it suitable in cases of incontinence. Each Active Botanical Cranberry capsule provides 400 mg of extract which is equivalent to a potent 10,000 mg of dry Cranberry fruit. Formulation Directions for Use
