Devils ClawDevil's Claw was used by native Africans as a remedy for diseases ranging from liver and kidney disorders, to allergies, headaches and rheumatism. Today, it is used primarily in inflammatory conditions, such as inflamed joints and in the relief of associated symptoms.
Its action in the body is believed to be due to the presence of a glycoside called harpagoside that may be involved in reducing inflammation of the joints. It may have analgesic properties and may be useful for the relief of a number of symptoms associated with inflammation of body joints. Active Botanicals
Devil's Claw is extracted from the tuber and is standardised to contain

233 mg of standardised extract provides 700 mg of dry herb equivalent.
