Horsechestnut
Horsechestnut acts
on the blood vessels of the circulatory system. It may act to improve
the strength and tone of the veins in particular. Horsechestnut is therefore
beneficial to the long term health of the circulatory system. It may
protect against the development of such conditions as tired and aching
feet and legs and inflammation of blood vessels.

Active Botanicals
Horsechestnut is standardised to 20% escin, equivalent to 1800 mg of
seed per capsule.
The active ingredients
may work to inhibit the activity of specific enzymes that tend to be
present at higher levels in individuals who suffer from chronic vascular
insufficiency, and which break down capillary wall components. By inhibiting
their activity, horsechestnut may help to reduce capillary permeability
and the resulting symptoms, such as varicose veins.
Formulation
Horsechestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) 300mg standardised extract, 20%
escin..............1,800mg

Indications
for Use

by strengthening them and, thus, combating such conditions as inflammation
of the veins, phlebitis and other conditions involving venous health.
Whether they are as a result of age, bad posture, heredity or pregnancy,
varicose veins are often treated in Europe with Horsechestnut. In fact,
many doctors prescribe it for such conditions as venous insufficiency,
leg oedema and muscle spasms. For relief of symptoms of vascular insufficiency
Horsechestnut is recommended.
