Questions |
What is Imedeen?
Imedeen is
a natural skin nutrient. It is the world's first clinically tested internal
skincare formulation. It was discovered by two swedish scientists after
eight years extensive research. Imedeen's active ingredient is a unique
Bio Marine Complex which is made up of proteins and polysaccharides,
similar to those found in the skin's connective tissue. Imedeen also
contains Vitamin C, essential for the formation of collagen, and zinc,
which assists the production of proteins.
Are there any side
effects?
Clinical studies have
not revealed any side effects associated with the use of Imedeen. Some
people may initially experience a temporary skin reaction such as pimples,
but these usually disappear with continued use of Imedeen. People with
an allergy to seafood or other marine products should consult their
doctor before taking Imedeen.
Does Imedeen interfere
with other medication?
No interactions have
so far been reported. Imedeen is a natural nutritional supplement; hence
interactions are highly unlikely. However, if you are seriously ill
or under constant medical supervision, you should not take any supplements
without consulting your doctor.
Why does our skin
deteriorate?
Our skin is
made of three layers. The outer layer is called the epidermis. New skin
cells are produced in the base of this layer, pushing older cells up
to the surface. There they form a keratin layer, which acts as a barrier
against the outside world. Under the epidermis is a thicker layer of
supportive tissue called the dermis. It is built up of collagen and
elastin fibres which keep the skin firm and supple. The natural ageing
process, along with other factors like exposure to the sun, smoking,
stress and environmental pollution can cause degeneration of the dermis.
The result is that our skin becomes thinner, drier, and less elastic
- and that's when fine lines and wrinkles start to appear.
How will Imedeen
improve your skin?
Imedeen nourishes the skin from within, improving its structure, and
increasing its density. Your skin will begin to absorb moisture better,
and over time, the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles will become
less visible. Your overall complexion will become brighter and more
translucent, which means you'll look good with or without makeup; and
you'll probably find you can simplify your external skincare routine
a lot! With continued use, you will notice improvement in the softness
and suppleness of your skin, not just on your face, but all over your
body.
Does Imedeen
cause weight
gain?
No. Two Imedeen tablets
contain only 1.2 Kcal. A normal woman needs an average of 1800-2000
Kcal a day to maintain a constant, healthy weight.
Is Imedeen safe for
pregnant or breast feeding women?
In general, you should
consult your doctor before taking any supplements while you are pregnant
or breastfeeding.
Is Imedeen effective
for other than European skins?
Most definitely yes.
There is no fundamental difference in the skin structure of different
races. Particularly in tropical regions, there is a high incidence of
skin damage caused by exposure to sun. Imedeen is effective in reducing
the appearance of hyper-pigmentation (sun freckles) and uneven skin
tone.
How does Imedeen
improve sun damaged skin?
The sun's harmful rays
reduce the density of the skin's connective tissue and decrease the
skin's ability to hold moisture. The result is wrinkles, dryness and
a loss of elasticity. Imedeen works by providing the nourishment needed
to increase the skin's ability to hold moisture. Over time skin becomes
smoother, firmer, fresher, less lined and more even-toned.
What can Imedeen
do for dry skin?
Dry skin feels taut and
has a tendency to peel, particularly around the eyes and the lower part
of the cheeks. Imedeen helps dry skin to retain and bind moisture, leaving
skin moisturised and supple while helping to reduce the appearance of
fine lines and wrinkles.
What is the recommended
Daily Dosage?
Two tablets daily. Tablets
are to be taken with a glass of water. The Imedeen tablet is small and
easy to swallow, but may be crushed if required.
